Administrative Changes and Board Vacancy
Dear Jacoby Creek Families,
I hope that you are enjoying a nice summer!
Some administrative changes have taken place at Jacoby Creek School this month and I wanted to write to keep everyone informed. Effective July 1, I became the Superintendent/Principal of Jacoby Creek School. I am very honored and excited to serve the school in this capacity. Our current Superintendent, Timothy Parisi, will continue to serve the district as the Assistant Superintendent. He will focus on the upcoming facilities bond building project and offer support as I get settled into my new role.
In addition, two of our school board members, Brenna Goodman and Kris Sundeen, have resigned their positions. Their service to our school has been greatly appreciated!
Their resignations have created two vacant school board positions. In order to fill them and meet legal timelines, there will be a special meeting of the board to interview and select candidates for the vacant positions. The date for this meeting is still to be determined, but we are looking at the week of July 16-20.
In order to be eligible to serve on the school board you must be 18 years of age, a citizen of the state, a resident of the Jacoby Creek School District, and a registered voter. An employee of the school district may not serve on the board unless they resign their position. Interested parties must submit a Candidate Information Sheet no later than July 16 at 1:00 p.m. Summer office hours are Monday–Friday from 8:00-1:00.
