Athletics Update April 2016

Track & Field has begun. Check out the schedule in the Athletics’ Bulletin Board in the front of the school if you are interested in watching a meet and supporting our athletes! The first league meet is April 30th. The running community will be hosting two K-4 meets. JCS coaches will not be participating in either meet. If your student is interested in participating in a K-4 meet, please contact Davita McGoldrick, dmcgoldrick@jcsk8.org, there are mandatory forms that must be filled out and submitted by the school in order for any JCS student to participate.

Information about Sports’ Physicals:
Humboldt County is a rural community, as such, there is typically a three month wait for well care visits. Families of student athletes should consider calling their primary care physicians now to schedule their pre-participation physical appointments over the summer. Volleyball and cross country both start at the beginning of the school year. All athletes must be cleared in order to try out or practice. Clearance forms are available in the office.
