Athletics Update April 2019
Track & Field (5th-8th)
The track & field season is underway. We will have a short season this year. The first meet, the HSU Invitational, will be on April 4, 2019 at Humboldt State University and the last meet, the Championships at College of the Redwoods, will be on May 11, 2019.
Sports Physicals
Humboldt County is a rural community, there is often a wait for well care visits. Families of student athletes should consider calling their primary care physicians now to schedule their pre-participation physical appointments for over the summer. Girls volleyball (7 & 8), golf (coed 5-8), and cross country (coed 3-8; in order to have a K-2 team parent volunteers are required) will start at the very beginning of the 2019-2020 school year. Please look out for more information via “Tuesday notes and emails”. Sport specific parent meetings for fall sports will be scheduled after teams are established. All students must be cleared in order to try out or begin practices. Clearance forms are available in the office.

Physicals are valid for one year from the signed date. If you do not know whether or not your child’s physical is valid, please contact Davita McGoldrick.
