A meeting of the Governing Board of Jacoby Creek School District was held on October 9, 2017 at 7:15 PM, in the school library.
Board Members Present: Shari Lovett, Tuan Luu, Brenna Goodman and Kris Sundeen

Staff Present: Superintendent Timothy Parisi, Principal Melanie Nannizzi, Karen Roberts, John Moore, Heidi Walsh, Pamela Ritter, and Catherine Girard.

4.1 Comments by the Public-No comments
Under this item, the public is invited to address the Board regarding items that are not on tonight’s agenda. Speakers are limited to three minutes each. The Board is not allowed under the law to take action on matters that are not on the agenda. Should comments from the public pertain to a charge or complaint against an employee of Jacoby Creek School District, the Board encourages the speaker to utilize the district’s written complaint procedures to pursue the matter. The public will have an opportunity to comment on all agenda items as those items are heard this evening.

5.1 National Blue Ribbon School Honor-Principal Nannizzi expressed her excitement and what a great honor it is for Jacoby Creek School to have been selected as a 2017 Blue Ribbon School.

6.4 Principal-Principal Nannizzi announced that there is a sixth grade play on November 6th, no school on November 10th in honor of Veteran’s Day and November 13-17 is Conference Week along with the JCS Book Fair. Principal Nannizzi also mentioned there will be the Fall Concert on November 15th, and there will be no school for Thanksgiving Break November 20-24.
6.5 Superintendent-Superintendent Parisi spoke about the National Blue Ribbon Schools Program and what an honor it is to have been selected as a Blue Ribbon School. He also went on to say there were 342 schools recognized nationally and in California there were only 25 schools that were recognized.
